Overview

Upon joining the Resistance, people are required to join one of the three Factions:

Due to the Factions’ unique skill sets each Faction will have a significant role in the MixMob Universe story arc being responsible for Faction specific story decisions.

In the early days of the Resistance, to promote cohesion, Central Command instituted a ban on inter-Faction communication. Only once a Faction created a Faction Logo was the ban lifted and they were able to communicate with Resistance members of other Factions.

Types of Factions

Architect

The Architect Faction is responsible for the technical aspects of the Resistance and Subdomain. Before the Great Delete they worked in the technology sector as software engineers, developers, cybersecurity experts, etc. They now are in charge of, among other things, programming and maintaining the MixBots, expanding and securing the source code of the Subdomain, and transforming the raw data obtained from the MixBot recon routes into a fully interactive and constantly updating AR/VR map of the Surface.

They have two priorities: 1) researching the mysterious Glitches that show up on the Surface so they can harness the power and fuse it to our Masks so we can use it to our advantage against A-1 and 2) creating anti-AI weapons, from the efficient to the diabolical, for integration with the MixBots.

Creator

The Creator Faction is the heart and sole of the Resistance. They embody our cultural remix call to action and possess an innate will to change the world around them whether through drawing, painting, sculpture, writing, or other mediums of expression. Creators are in charge of directing the aesthetics of the Masks that Resistance members wear on the Surface. Due to the Conditioning Bots needing to scan the human face in order to keep their human under control our Masks need to appear as foreign to a human face as possible. By using items found on the Surface, Creators are able to provide safe exposure times for the Resistance by altering our Masks. Their role is crucial to the safety of each and every Resistance member who dares travel to the Surface.

<aside> 📢 Taggers, a sub-faction of the Creators, are those who tend to have a more deviant side in their art. Central Command employs them to create derivatives of the culture A-1 is using to control the Surface.
